Ulysses' Tears
Ulysses, lost and wandering for ten years, endured great trials and hardships before he finally arrived home to Ithaca. His dog Argos was the only loved one to recognize him immediately, and it was only the sight of his dog, neglected and flea-ridden, that finally moved the hero to tears.
