Amsterdam, the Netherlands
The center of Amsterdam is a maze of concentric canals, so very common Amstedam sights are canals, bridges - and bikes. The center offers a vast amount of shopping, and has its share of cafes as well.

Amsterdam has a large number of museums. A main draw is the Anne Frank house (Prinsengracht 263). The house is interesting, but we did not find it especially moving. The Nazis confiscated most of the furnishings in it, and not much has been replaced. For those interested in art, Amsterdam offers a lot. The Van Gogh museum has a tremendous collection of his works. The Rijksmuseum houses a collection of Dutch masters. There is also a Rembradthuis - where sketches by Rembradt are displayed in his old home.
Some cafes (such as The Grasshopper) offer the spacecakes that are part of the Amsterdam mystique. The red light district is also in the center. There is an endless number of sex shops, and there are also houses where women sit suggestively in the window - it is considered poor form to take pictures of them.
