Gellert Hill is just south of the castle, and has a few items of interest. At the top of the hill is a large statue of a girl holding up a feather - this is the so-called Liberation Monument, from when the Soviets liberated in 1945. On the side of the hill, there are residential neighborhoods as well as a park with statues and a waterfall. At the base of the hill is the Gellert Hotel, which is home to Budapest's best-known thermal baths and spa. Gellert offers a wide array of pampering options, such as thermal baths, swimming pools, mudbaths, and massages.
