Budapest's Heroes' Square and City Park

The square was built for Hungary's 1000-year anniversary in 1896 and commemorates prominent Hungarians. Behind the square is the large city park, which contains an amusement park and the Vajdahunyad Castle, also created for the Millenium of Hungary in 1896. The castle is a hodgepodge of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, all part of Hungarian architecture.
