Here is Eric, with his shopping cart on the escalator of the 2-floor Julius Meinl grocery store at Namesti Republiky.

This is Dad and Eric standing next to a bust of Winston Churchill. The bust is near the British Embassy in the Mala Strana quarter (where a lot of embassies are found), on the way up to the castle.

Grocery stores built in outlying areas tend to be the large sprawling shopping centers with which we are familiar. However, in the center of town where space is a premium, it's not uncommon to see multi-level stores.

This is a rapeseed field, as seen from a train in central Czech Republic.

thm_prahaclock.gif

This is an interesting-looking church in the Zizkov neighborhood.

thm_StalinMonument.gif

Here is Eric, on a large platform on Letna Plain overlooking the Vltava. The platform was actually the base for the largest statue of Stalin. However, soon after the statue was finished, Stalin was denounced. The statue was later blown up.
